Another World is Possible: Applying the Intercultural Praxis Model

Today, our awareness of the intercultural challenges we face around the world is heightened. So too, our awareness of systemic inequities. In this presentation, Dr. Kathryn Sorrells uses her Intercultural Praxis Model to introduce a process of critical, reflective, thinking and acting that enables us to navigate the complex and difficult intercultural spaces we inhabit in our interpersonal relationships, among groups with different backgrounds, and globally. Engaging the Model challenges exclusionary and dehumanizing practices while supporting inclusion and diversity. This interactive presentation illustrates how the Intercultural Praxis Model can be used to develop capacities that are crucial to create a more equitable and just world. Another world is possible!
